About Grandma's Fudge Factory
Grandma’s Fudge Factory first opened its doors in 1971 in Virginia City, Nevada. Now owned and operated by James and Brenda Ward, who continue the tradition of making delicious candy with only the freshest of ingredients. Our master candy makers are still making fudge the old-fashioned way, by hand.
Our factory is located in the center of this historical town on “C” Street, the main thoroughfare of this small tourist town in northern Nevada. We are surrounded by old-time saloons, antique shops, and many interesting shops. While talking a stroll on the boardwalk you will enjoy the delicious aroma of our candies being cooked.
Grandma’s Fudge and all our sweets are cooked in large copper pots over an open flame. It is paddled by hand then poured on a temperature controlled table to be paddled and placed into trays. All this is done behind a large window and can be observed from the boardwalk or while shopping in the store. Come watch and get a delicious taste of warm fudge.
We also sell ice cream, milkshakes and floats. Try our delicious barks, brittles, caramels and caramel dipped Granny Smith apples. Caramel apples come plain caramel or a variety of nuts and even dipped in chocolate. During the annual Christmas parade, you can enjoy a cup of our delicious and homemade hot cocoa to keep you warm while you enjoy the parade. There is something for everyone in our candy store.
